About this piece
Made in classic granny stitch in clean white, the poncho slips over the head and falls to a soft point at the front and back. A wide V of the three colours runs above the hem, the neckline is ringed in green, gold and red, and a long white fringe finishes the edge. It is warm without being heavy, right for cool Addis evenings and over-air-conditioned rooms.
One size fits most, because the shape does the work. Wear it on Timkat morning, to an outdoor wedding, or on an autumn day in the USA when a coat is too much. It also makes an easy gift: no size to guess.

Care
Hand wash in cold water with a mild soap. Press the water out gently, never wring. Dry flat in the shade, comb the fringe straight with your fingers and reshape while damp. Do not hang, tumble dry or iron.
